Biedermeier Style Dining Room
This table was made in US occupied Germany, and I really wanted to save it.
My big concern was the polyester finish someone applied during the life
of this table. It had severely cracked along with the veneer. In the past, Polyester
had been nearly impossible to strip. My suspicions were correct, and nothing I tried
would strip the finish. Just as we were ready to throw in the towel, I spoke with
Benny of Benco Supplies and he sent me a product he said would strip polyester
finish. It worked great and I was able to remove the finish, repair the veneer and
give this great German made table a new life.
Above...It was not looking good and I wasn't even sure I could help this table
Fortunately, we were able to restore this table back to the way it was meant to look.
