Are you looking for a brown wood stain that won’t bring out the orange or red tones prominent in some wood species ?  Smoky Umber was developed by Rod specifically with that in mind. Its a very cool medium brown stain best suited for woods that have brown, orange or red undertones. Its not as well suited for white or yellow wood species as it may be too cool on it’s own, but when applied to a warm wood it produces a beautiful neutral brown.  As are all of our Designer Series Ultra Premium water based stains, it applies super easy and it’s rich in colorant so it offers exceptional coverage. Our stains dry slower than other water based stains, giving you extra working time and no streaks !!  It’s everything you ever wanted in a water based stain.  If you want to alter the color, mix any of our Designer Series stains to personalize and customize your stain for your individual taste.
