VERSA-COLOR Universal Tinting Colorants by WeRefinish are universal colorants in a special non toxic solvent resulting in a tinting colorant that can be used in a variety of ways and is an absolute must have for every wood finisher, painter, artist, furniture flipper, crafter, cabinet maker, hobbyist and diy. They can be added to our VERSA-COLOR clear water reducible base stain in combination with our transparent liquid dyes to make unlimited custom stains, and they can be added to our VERSA Hybrid Furniture Paint for unlimited custom paint colors.
 VERSA Liquid colorants can be added to clear finishes to create custom toners. Our Liquid tints can even be be applied directly to wood as a stain, or can be diluted with water for a less intense color. VERSA universal colorants are compatible with practically any finish EXCEPT oil based products. They can be added to nitrocellulose lacquer, shellac, water base finishes, and catalyzed varnishes or lacquers. They can also be added to wood filler, wax, epoxy glue, etc. Mix with clear water based finish to make custom touch up stains and paints.
I used the Versa red Universal tint along with Versa Bordeaux liquid dye mixed into solvent based lacquer from Sherwin Williams to make a custom deep red lacquer for two formica benches I want to use in my childs play room. Love them !!
These are fine colorants. I was using Mixol colorants but they are actually less concentrated than the Versa brand and I love that We Refinish is a family business in the USA. I’ll be buying more !!
