All WeRefinish brand Water Based stains are made in the USA by our small family run business in Pennsylvania. Our stains are considered ultra premium in quality. Our water based stains are easy to apply, don’t require a pre conditioner, dry much slower than what’s typical of a water based stain, giving you more working time. Our stain goes on smoothly and evenly, with no blotching and our concentrated colorants offer one coat coverage !

Our water based wiping stain can be coated with with our tinted water based acrylic varnish, or you can use any of your favorite finishes such as solvent based lacquers, polyurethanes, shellac or other brands of water based finishes.
